DAY SIX DIARY
Endure to Win

Watching the Wimbledon 2010 gentlemen’s QF now. Federer does not seem to be in perfect form, as he has been for this entire tournament, playing more that one five-setter in the early rounds. But he has proven time and time again...

Roller coaster Continuum

I can only write when i read. Reading, it turns out is the fuel to my writing. The reason why I haven’t written for a long time is that for that during the time when I couldn’t write, i as well have treated reading as a chore. It was a battle to finish a book (most especially when I feel I have already captured what I wanted to get from it). I ceased to be fun. So, likewise, writing did not suit me well.
I realized the continuum...

Ideate, Launch, Edit

The worst big ticket mistake you can commit is Inaction.
How many of us have come upon an idea and had that idea sit on by like a 90-year old waiting by the window. We think our idea is amazing, it solves a problem, it is innovative, the market will love it. But it stays as a concept. *chirp*chirp* ...

No Alternative

There is no alternative to hard work.
Talent could be available, but if it stays slumped in a swivel chair with zero productivity, there would be nothing to make of it.
We could be great presenters and idea-makers, but without the legwork, execution is never completed.
Grease up.

Care for Some Tea?

I am currently having a grande Starbucks vanilla rooibos full leaf tea. Funny thing is, I bought it three days ago, and well, it’s still steeping good.
I am a tea lover (enter: my good friend Dana, who just doesn’t get why I do). And this tea is great. I’ve had around three grande-fuls and the taste is still round, and cinnamon-y and the vanilla is still there. I declare it today as the tea that never dies...

Your Street

I love street food.
Years back when i used to run a mini accessories business and had to go to Quiapo every Saturday to get raw materials, not one...

The Challenge of Generosity

Competition is rampant and generosity is scarce. That is today’s reality. Most people, especially in business, tend to think that rather than give, they should profit off other people instead. Rather than share an idea, they would keep it to themselves so that the other party would not take the credit for something they have thought about.
But who really profits? No one...

24

Have you ever wondered why a day lasts 24 hours? Aside from the scientific reasons, why is it not just 16, or why does it not last up to 40?...

Break It

Elevate

If you were in an elevator rising from the ground level to the 5th floor and the person riding the box with you asks you what you do, how would you tell him AND SELL IT TO HIM before the time you have to go off?

Projects List

I love doing projects. Creativity is a value that ranks high up my scale, next only to following to following God’s will. I get excited whenever a new project gets cooked up in my head and I’ll be as restless as a 3-year old on a sugar high until I get going with it.
For the next few days I’ll have a lot of time to myself and let me share with you my personal project list...

The Start Button Bounces Back

The thing about start-ups is that they should start at some point. It could be one click of the mouse, a scribble on a piece of scratch, a meeting with a mentor. But unlike a race wherein you have to begin with the bang of the start-gun, business startups do not have that proverbial and external cue to begin. It commences at the heart of every entrepreneur and false start or not, you just have to run on...
